We are comfortable performing at a range of public and private events. This includes private parties and weddings, to bandstands, charity and sporting events, and everything in between. We've played in Cornwall Park Band Rotunda, The Thirsty Dog, The Lumsden, Green Bay Street Food Festival, various retirement villages and recently, a wedding!

Not such a little Big Band anymore!
Hi everyone!
We've been a bit slack at keeping our website updated recently - apologies! We've just been having so much fun playing for the people of Auckland!
You can always find our gig info and photos on our facebook page but we endeavour to be better at keeping this site updated going forward.
Wowsers, we currently have a huge number of regular members - which is AWESOME! Thank you to all of our lovely band members, we couldn't do it without you! This doesn't mean we're not open to new members joining, the more the merrier! If you're keen to come along, drop us an email to find out more info!

The Remuera Club have asked us back!
We were thrilled to be asked back to the Remuera Club for another gig! Come and chill out with some wonderful jazz, big band, swing and funk on Sunday 14th April. Tickets are $10 and they're available on the door.
There's also a dance floor - which was well-used last time! Hopefully our tunes will encourage more of you to dance this time round :-)

The Lumsden - take two
We're so excited to be going back to the Lumsden for a gig on Sunday 7th April (weather-permitting!), we played at their 5th birthday last year and had a fab time!
We'll be doing two sets, starting at 2pm and hope to see you there!

Thirsty Dog

TWO GIGS... again
You might have noticed our last two gigs got cancelled! It was that truly awfully wet weekend in Feb, so both were rained off.
Not to be put off, we now have another two gigs to announce - a second go at the Green Bay Street Food Festival on Friday 9th, and a return to the Thirsty Dog on Thursday 15th. Whoop!

The Remuera Club
The Auckland Big Band are back at the Remuera Club for another afternoon of fantastic live music.
The band will be playing 2 great sets of jazz and funk music from the classic '30s big band tunes right up to some of today's popular songs.
The Remuera Club is a relaxed and friendly venue, equipped with a bar and food platters for purchase, and plenty of parking.
Come have a listen or even a dance and support your favourite community band!
